ESL Challenger Melbourne Fantasy game now open to play

ESL Challenger Melbourne 2022 is set to start on September 2 and accompanying it will be another HLTV.org Fantasy game. The HLTV x Roobet league will grant the three top-placed teams skin prizes, however, this edition of the game will not contribute to the Fall season leaderboard.

The $100,000 tournament will divide eight teams into two GSL groups from which only four will advance to the knockout stage.

Users have heavily leaned on OG for this edition of the Fantasy game

OG dominates the most picked players list with Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković ($199,000), Maciej "⁠F1KU⁠" Miklas ($203,000), Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan ($212,000). Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov also makes the cut despite the Russian AWPer's significant $241,000 price tag, the highest in this edition of the Fantasy game.

Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo ($195,000) and Vinicius "⁠VINI⁠" Figueiredo ($194,000) are also popular picks due to Imperial status as favorites to top Group B over paiN, VERTEX, and Grayhound. Newcomer Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes ($213,000) currently displays a 1.10 LAN rating in 2022, a solid return for a player of his value.

Rounding up the top picks is the Russian duo of Vladislav "⁠Krad⁠" Kravchenko ($182,000) and Aleksei "⁠El1an⁠" Gusev ($198,000). Both players average a 1.07 LAN rating this year and with values under $200,000 as well as Entropiq's upset potential, they could bring a hefty return on investment at this event.
